Tea Cup and Jug

A tonal study of two simple porcelain pieces. Painted directly in oils

using brush and pallet knife, without drawing first. Approximately A2 in size, I have further cropped the image in this photo as it felt more interesting to 'lose' the handle of the jug. I'm currently working on the same subject in very soft blues and ivory tints as well as a different and difficult study in red again set up by Barbara. Difficult for me that is - Monica's studies in red are lovely.
